Muktinath Temple – a short information

Muktinath Temple located in Muktinath Valley at an altitude of 3,710 meters. Muktinath is a sacred place for Hindus and Buddhist. There are Buddhist monasteries and  many stupas in Muktinath.  Sri Muktinath is one of the names of the god Vishnu. Thousands of people visit Muktinath every year to worship the god Vishnah. There a wall of Mukti Dhara (Mukti Dhara) from which they beat 108 sources of ice water. Regardless of religious affiliation, it is believed that having washed under 108 streams, all the sins of previous lives will be washed away. Muktinath Temple is considered one of the eight most sacred Hindu temples; the other seven are Shrirangam, Shrimushnam, Tirupati, Naimisharanya, Tottadri, Pushkar and Badrinath. Muktinath is the only place on earth where five sacred beginnings are united: fire, water, sky, earth and air.

Muktinath Darshan Yatra Itinerary (2 Days):

Day 1:
Drive from Pokhara to Jomsom. Stay overnight in Jomsom.

Day 2: 
Drive from Jomsom to Muktinath Temple. Puja, aarati and bath in 108 sources of water then after drive back from Muktinath Temple to Pokhara. (Ends of service)

Muktinath Darshan Yatra Itinerary (3 Days):

Day 1: 
Drive from Pokhara to Jomsom via Beni and Tatopani (stay overnight in Jomsom)

Day 2:
Drive from Jomsom to Muktinath and return to Marpha via Kagbeni and Jomsom Village (stay overnight in Marpha)

Day 3:
Drive from back to Pokhara after visiting Galeshwor Temple and Baglung Kalika

There are various hotel, lodge and guest house in Jomsom and our drive will help on finding the best. But, you need to pay for the hotel by yourself.
